Can-Am Traxter DPS HD8 (Squadron Green)

Can-Am Off-Road ALL-IN offer

Want a machine that really shows up to work? The Traxter DPS HD8 with its Rotax HD8 V-Twin delivers 50 hp and 50 lb-ft torque for tough tasks, and is truly the sharpest tool in the shed. In this range, the size of the wheels are made to match the size of the engine; the 14-in black cast-aluminium wheels with 27-in (68.6 cm) Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires are sure to conquer even the trickiest terrain.

The Qe Visco-Lok front differential combined with the lockable rear differential offer a 4-mode traction system providing multiple choices for varying terrain or tasks. Users, via a separate front-and-rear toggle switches, can select between a 2×4 open rear differential for tight turning and turf protection, a 2×4 lockable rear for improved 2WD traction, a 4×4 open rear for more manoeuvrability in rugged terrain, and a 4×4 locked rear for maximum traction. The rear differential is gear-on-gear to the transmission for better response, no maintenance, better efficiency, and fewer components.

The Traxter DPS HD8 is fitted with automotive-like technology and fabrication tolerances that are in line with modern pick-up trucks. The high-strength, low-alloy (HSLA) grade steel means a more rigid design for taking the strain of heavy-duty chores. To ensure absolute results, the Can-Am engineers put the Traxter frame through the new rigorous Utility Test Cycle at the winter and summer testing grounds.

The Traxter heavy-duty Torsional Trailing A-arms (TTA-HD) were designed specifically for a utility and recreational usage, and offer a full 10-in. (25.4 cm) of travel to provide a smooth ride, regardless of the terrain. Thanks to no camber, the Traxter’s architecture offers an optimal comfort and drivability in all conditions. Designed to offer less assistance at high speeds and more assistance at low speeds, the Traxter’s Dynamic Power Steering (DPS) improves the steering feel in slow-speed working situations and in more technical terrain.

The VERSA-PRO Bench Seat is engineered as a 40/20/40 bench seat, inspired by modern pick-up trucks. It can comfortably accommodate three adults and features “profiled” corners to improve the and entrance/exit of the cab. For improved wear resistance, the sturdy vinyl cover makes the seat look newer for longer.  The passenger seats, complete with integrated hooks on their underside, can also be flipped up to improve onboard storage. For more space, the Traxter has a foldable central console and armrest with two cup holders – for both your and your passenger’s comfort.

Removable and water-resistant, the 1.7 gal (6.3 L) toolbox –an industry exclusive– on the open dash allows for users to store tools and other supplies in an organised manner. The 6 gal (23 L) of under dash storage with enclosed pocket provides additional storage. All in all, the Traxter proposes a total of up to 10.4 gal. (39.5 L) of storage solutions.

Need even more space? The highly durable Cargo box can take up to a 1,000-lb (454kg) load capacity and easily dumps. Strategic features include 5-gal (18.9 l) pail recesses, integrated anchors on the sidewalls and several tie-down points for added convenience. To fully optimise the sizeable cargo box, consumers can divide up the box using the integrated recesses. The box allows for both 1×3 and plywood separators and accepts bed extenders for refining the bed’s overall dimensions. Also, the sturdy tailgate can withstand ordinary farm use and serve as a seat during your lunch break (max weight: 250 lb / 113kg).
